P.E. Validation Certification
At J Lowry, LLC, our work doesn’t just meet expectations — it meets code. All applicable calculations, drawings, and inspection reports can be reviewed and certified by a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), in accordance with jurisdictional and industry requirements.
What is P.E. Validation?
P.E. Validation is the process where a Professional Engineer reviews technical work for accuracy, code compliance, and engineering soundness. Once validated, the engineer provides their official seal — certifying that the work has been performed under their responsible charge.
This includes:
- Review of ASME Code Calculations
- Validation of NBIC Repair or Alteration Reports
- Approval of API 510/570/653 Recommendations
- Certification of engineering designs or stress analysis
Why It Matters
In many jurisdictions and critical-use cases, an engineer’s stamp is legally required for:
- Submissions to state or local authorities
- High-risk or high-pressure equipment modifications
- Insurance documentation or risk management
- Owner-operator internal QA/QC policies
A stamped document ensures that a qualified, licensed engineer has reviewed and taken responsibility for the technical integrity of the work — adding a critical layer of safety, trust, and legal validity.
Our Capabilities
J Lowry, LLC works with licensed Professional Engineers who are experienced in pressure equipment and code-based inspections. Our PE partners are familiar with:
- ASME Section VIII, I, II, B31.3
- NBIC Part 3 (Repairs & Alterations)
- API Tanks
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and complex evaluations
All validation work is performed in accordance with state engineering board regulations, and documentation is sealed and delivered digitally or in hard copy as required.
Types of Documents We Can Certify
- Pressure Vessel Calculations
- Repair or Alteration Design Packages
- API Inspection Reports
- Engineering Drawings (layouts, nozzle loads, rerates)
- Tank Reconstruction Packages
- FEA Summaries for Jurisdictional Submittals
Build With Confidence
Whether you’re a repair contractor, owner-user, or manufacturer, you can count on J Lowry, LLC to provide engineering-backed documentation when it counts.
Certified. Compliant. Credible.
